The art in the artists words : Elizabeth Coffey
"This series of lace paintings is inspired by the ideals of feminine beauty, the traditional arts of sewing and handwork, and the element of chance that is inherent in working with unconventional materials. I begin with found materials: vintage lace curtains serve as a painting surface, and photographs provide subject matter. I select images that evoke quiet introspection, reinterpreting them to explore the complexity that often underlies a seemingly calm surface. The resulting portraits serve as metaphors for inner and outer life. "
Taking this a step further in VR users can see the art work in the backdrop with different lace patterns and colors giving a new perspective to the art with each lace overlay.

Defying gravity
The intent of this exhibit was to create an exhibit that defys the norm of reality. Using a script for bounce I created an exhibit of balls that bounce constantly without stopping. Tweaking the position bounce and mass values they create a rhythmic wave pattern as they bounce.
The second exhibit is a shadow play that is created by rods that spin in different directions casting a constantly changing shadow art.
